The following is the Preamble to the Constitution of the United States of America.
We the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.
The following from the Missouri Constitution, Article 1, Bill of Rights, Section 1;
Source of political power--origin, basis and aim of government.
Section 1. That all political power is vested in and derived from the people; that all government of right originates from the people, is founded upon their will only, and is instituted solely for the good of the whole.
What do these words mean to us? It means that the government is controlled by us, the people, not by who ever has the most money. It is time that we let our elected government officials know that we have had enough and we are taking our government back. It is time to put an end to the professional politicians that only care about what personal gains they can get and get back to the basics of what our government is suppose to do for us.
Bill’s Political Views:
Bill considers himself as a conservative individual with high morals and values. He truly believes in His God, His Family, and His Country. He is a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He believes in a smaller, less intrusive and more transparent government of the people, for the people, and by the people not special interest group and political action groups. He believes that our greatest right of all is the right to vote because it allows us to continually question and control our government. He believes that the education of our children should be first and foremost. Keeping Missourians employed also ranks high on his list of priorities. He thinks that the current legislative body has done a good job of keeping the Missouri economy moving forward and it will take some very strong people to replace them and continue moving Missouri forward in tough economic times. He believes that politics today should not be just about Republican or Democrat but about what is best for the people, we must work together as a team to fix the hard economics times that are facing us today. He believes in true campaign reform that truly limits the amount of campaign funds that a candidate can receive from political action groups and special interest groups. He is an optimistic patriot, driven by a passion for freedom. He has dedication to a rule of law that both protects and preserves liberty. He fully supports an individual’s right to keep and bear arm and believes existing gun laws should be enforced before any more are enacted. He believes in the power and ingenuity of the individual to succeed through hard work, family support and self-discipline. He believes in the value of voluntary giving and community support over taxation and forced redistribution, and believes that government must be limited so that it never becomes powerful enough to infringe on the rights of individuals. He supports low taxes because individuals know best how to make their own economic and charitable choices and is supportive of logical business regulations that encourage entrepreneurs to start more businesses so more individuals can enjoy the satisfaction and fruits of self-made success. |
